Environmental Business Hero of the Year Award

Kawartha Lakes Environmental Advisory Committee (KLEAC) is accepting nominations for the 2023 Environmental Business Hero of the Year Award until June 1, 2024. This award was created in January of 2004 by Council on a recommendation from KLEAC. The criteria for a candidate to qualify are as follows:

1. A business from the Kawartha Lakes that is working to address an environmental issue in 2023;
2. Making an outstanding environmental contribution within Kawartha Lakes; and,
3. Acting successfully to influence change for the benefit of the environment without any expectation of reward.

To accept this award, the recipient must reside in Kawartha Lakes. As a guideline, KLEAC members and Kawartha Lakes staff are not qualified to receive the reward.
