Before any event or facility rental takes place, a Safety Plan must be developed to ensure all relevant public health guidelines and requirements are in place to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

A COVID-19 Safety Plan must be completed and approved by the Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation and Culture Division prior to facility access. This Safety Plan should be completed with the understanding that the Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge District Health Unit is following Step Three of the provincial Reopening Framework.

Please follow the steps below to assist you in completing the Halls and Events Safety Plan:

  1. Review the current City of Kawartha Lakes Indoor Hall Use Protocols
  2. Review Ontario's Reopening Framework and refer to Step Three of the Framework
  3. Complete the Halls and Events Safety Plan template below and “submit” for review and approval.

Please be advised Proof of Vaccination will be required to access municipal halls, arenas and recreation facilities as outlined in the City of Kawartha Lakes Proof of Vaccination Protocols. Groups may use their own screening tool so long as it is up to date with the current provincial screening questions.

A maximum posted capacity is permitted to enter the facility. All patrons must wear a mask and maintain two metres physical distance from each other, unless they are from the same household.
