In order to request ice time for the 2022 Spring - Summer season (April - August) please complete and submit this form. This request is not considered a booked contract.

Requests must be submitted by 11am on Tuesday Februrary 1. Contracts are necessary for all scheduled ice facility use.

Ice Facility Conditions of Use 2022

Please review the information below before completing an Ice Request Form.

Facility Requests

To be included in the initial allocation of ice time requests must be submitted by 11am Tuesday February 1.

Ice time will be booked on a first come, first served basis after the initial allocation.

Due to scheduled maintenance at the Lindsay Recreation Complex, the following facilities will be available for the 2022 Spring/Summer season:

  • Emily/Omemee Community Centre, April 1 - June 30
  • Fenelon Falls Community Centre, July 2 - August 31

All requests will be reviewed by the Division in relation to the availability and suitability of facilities. Priority will be given as per the Revised Ice Facility Allocation Management Policy.

Incomplete forms (i.e. missing information, responses that include 'same as last year', no signatures etc.) may not be considered in the initial allocation process.

Ice Rental Fees

Summer Rate - $215

Summer Minor Rate - $150

Commercial and non-residential rentals will be charged a 25% premium.

Rates DO NOT include TAX.


Following the allocation process, contracts must be signed and returned as confirmation of booking and understanding of facility rules and regulations. Once the contract is signed, there are no refunds for cancelled ice.

As per the Parks, Recreation and Culture Fees and Charges Policy, Spring/Summer season users will be pre-billed once at the start of the season. Payment for part season or single bookings are due at the time of booking.

Cancellation Procedure

Returned or unused ice will be billed at 100%. Returned contracted ice time will be posted online as available, if possible, if the Facility Booking Office receives written notice of the return.

The Facility Booking Office will try to sell the times returned, however if not sold, the original group will be billed for the returned time.

In the event of severe weather conditions that prevent the user group from using booked time, the user must contact the Facility Booking Office in writing within 24 hours of the weather event in order to receive a refund.

Any weather cancellations or requests to return ice must be received in writing by e mail to: or via fax: 705-878-9388.

Smoking/vaping/use of e-cigarettes is prohibited in all City of Kawartha Lakes municipal buildings as per the Smoke-Free Ontario Act. Failure to comply with this law will immediately subject any offender(s) and their respective user-group(s) to enforcement action from Health Unit Inspectors and City of Kawartha Lakes progressive disciplinary measures.

Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages is prohibited in the dressing rooms or any other locations within the facility and/or grounds other than a licensed area. Any person, club or league that contravenes shall be liable to cancellation without notice.
