Before any sport, recreation and fitness teams, groups and clubs may enter the facility, a Safety Plan must be developed to ensure all relevant public health guidelines and requirements are in place to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

A COVID-19 Safety Plan must be completed and approved by the Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation and Culture Division prior to facility access. This Safety Plan should be completed with the understanding that the Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge District Health Unit is following the Reopening Ontario:Roadmap Exit Step Framework.

Please follow the steps below to assist you in completing the Arena Safety Plan:

  1. Review the current City of Kawartha Lakes Ice User Protocols
  2. Review the current City of Kawartha Lakes COVID-19 Representative Responsibilites
  3. Review the facility Directional Flow Map
  4. Review Ontario's Reopening Framework.
  5. Ensure you are compliant with your national or provincial sporting organization
  6. Complete the Arena Safety Plan template below and “submit” for review and approval.

Please be advised Proof of Vaccination will be required to access municipal halls, arenas and recreation facilities as outlined in the City of Kawartha Lakes Proof of Vaccination Protocols.
