Facility Requests:
To be included in the initial allocation of Baseball Diamonds and Athletic Fields requests must be submitted by 12pm on Monday April 3, 2023.
If you have questions regarding Athletic Field allocation prior to completing the request please contact the appropriate Area Supervisor:
South Area: Emily-Omemee, Ops, Little Britain, Cambray and Oakwood facilities

All requests will be reviewed when they are received by the Division in relation to the availability and suitability of facilities.
Please note that special events will be scheduled before any regular season bookings.
Incomplete forms (i.e. missing information, responses that include 'same as last year', no signatures etc.) will be returned to the Applicant resulting in delay of approval. Please note, team schedules and calendars will not be accepted.
Contracts must be signed and returned to the Facility Booking Office two weeks prior to the first booking. Contracts that are not returned to the Division will not be honored.
Ball Diamond Rental Fees:
Class A Ball Diamonds:
Wilson Fields (1-6), Fenelon Falls (1,2,3), Bobcaygeon (1,2), Little Britain (1,2,3), Oakwood (1,2), Woodville (1), Ops (1,2) and Emily/Omemee.
Service: Dragged once per day, L1 grass maintenance.
2023 Adult Rates:

Class B Ball Diamond:

Service: Dragged once a week, no lining, L1 grass maintenance.

Class C Ball Diamonds:
Neighbourhood Parks, Coboconk Legion Park, Woodville (2), Ops (3), Norland and Cambray.
Service: Could be dragged up to three times per season, L1 or L2 grass maintenance.

Each single field booking is considered to be a maximum of two hours in length.
Extra fees include lighting at $15 per game.

Terms and Conditions
Billing:
As per the Collection and Billing Policy, sports field user groups will be pre-billed once at the start of the season. Payment for part season or single booking are due at the time of booking.
Start and End Dates:
Open approximately from May 15 to Thanksgiving weekend in October.
All facilities start dates and end dates will be advised by the Area Supervisor closer to the start of the contract due to weather conditions at the beginning of the season and maintenance schedules at the end of the season.
Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages:
Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on the sports field or any other location within area and/or grounds other than a Licensed area. Any person, club or league that contravenes shall be liable to cancellation without notice.
Cancellation Procedure - Athletic Field Facility:
The City of Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division will have the right to cancel any facility booking due to adverse weather conditions or current ground conditions. The Parks and Recreation Division will make decisions regarding field use, and all decisions will be final. Cancellations will be made no later than on the day in question. For necessary weather cancellations following this time, teams/leagues are requested to use their better judgement for the safety of all involved. All cancellations due to weather are to be reported to the Parks, Recreation and Culture Division no later than 24 hours after the scheduled time. If notification is not forwarded, applicants will be billed for use.
Any field cancellations (other than weather) are subject to a 15% administration fee (minimum $5). Cancellations must be reported to the Facility Booking Office at a minimum of two weeks prior to the booking date, failure to do so will result in full charges.
Any cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail to: facilitybooking@kawarthalakes.ca or by faxing the Athletic Field Cancellation Notice Form to the Facility Booking office at 705-878-9388.
