Kawartha Lakes Community Partnership and Development Fund Grant Application

The municipality wishes to provide assistance and support to community organizations and associations in recognition of their civic contributions. The efforts demonstrated by these groups encourage civic pride and strong community focus.

Application Deadline: Application deadline is 4:30pm on October 31 annually. Applications received after the deadline date will be considered during the second allocation process. The second allocation process only occurs if funding remains after the initial allocation. Applications will be reviewed after July 31 for the second allocation.

Applications must be submitted electronically using the Kawartha Lakes Community Partnership and Development Fund Application Form. Applications submitted in any other form will not be accepted, unless previously approved by Staff.

Applicants should review the Community Partnership and Development Fund Program Management Directive prior to completion of this Application.

4.1 Conditions

  1. In the event that the funds are not used for the event, project or initiative as described in the Application, or there are misrepresentations in the Application, the full amount of the financial assistance may be payable forthwith to the municipality.
  2. If there are any changes in the funding of the event, project or initiative from that contemplated in the Application, the municipality must be notified of such through the Community Services Division.
  3. The Organization will make continue to make attempts to secure funding from other sources as indicated in the Application.
  4. The Organization will keep proper books of accounts of all receipts and expenditures relating to the event, project or initiative. The Organization must submit a Final Report prior to December 31.
  5. The Organization will make available for inspection by the municipality, or its auditors all records and books of accounts of the Organization upon request from the municipality. An audited statement may be required, and the Organization will be responsible for any costs associated with procuring an audited statement.
  6. If the event, project or initiative proposed in the Organization's Application is not commenced, or not completed, and there remain municipal funds on hand; or the project or program is completed without requiring the full use of municipal funds; or Council directs that the funds be returned; such funds will be returned to the municipality through the Director of Finance. Exceptions are made for funds received for a multi-year event, project or initiative, as outlined in the Community Partnership and Development Fund Management Directive.
  7. The project or program may not be represented as a municipal project or program, and the Organization does not have the authority to hold itself out as an agency of the municipality in any way, the only relationship being that the municipality has approved and granted financial assistance to the Organization.
  8. In all cases, the Organization will still be responsible to meet any requirements for permits, licenses and insurance.

We certify to the best of our knowledge that the information provided in this municipal grant request is accurate and complete and is endorsed by the Organization which we represent. If our Organization receives a municipal grant we agree to the conditions set out above and to any other conditions approved by Council.
